2027 Nissan Rogue: A Complete Guide for St. Louis Drivers

If you’re a fan of SUVs and/or hybrid vehicles, you’ve no doubt noticed that the niche has gotten very competitive over the last several years. All the major vehicle manufacturers are fielding some version of electric vehicle (EV), many of them in SUV, Compact SUV or Crossover configuration. Nissan has been heavily invested in EVs for many years – they’ve sold nearly 4 million worldwide over the last decade. That has led them to their third-generation e-POWER.

Until now, because of the sort of driving that is common in the U.S., Nissan hasn’t introduced their newest innovation in EV – the Rogue e-POWER. But with their new third-generation version, the time has come!

What’s So Different about the 2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER is a major departure from the sort of hybrid we’re used to seeing on U.S. highways. The principal difference is that its motor isn’t mechanically connected to the wheels. It acts only as a generator, keeping the battery charged and feeding the inverter that powers the dual electric motors on the axles.

This brings several advantages – let’s take a look at them:

  • One major difference is that there’s no longer a need to plug in to recharge. Recharging the lithium-ion battery is handled by the engine/generator and regenerative braking. That means there’s no more range limitation. As long as a conventional gas station is available to refill the gas tank, you’re all set to keep motoring on!
  • Another is the dramatically-improved smoothness of acceleration and stopping. With no need for the engine to reengage/disengage, there’s no lurching or clunking… just a smooth flow of power.
  • The economy of Nissan’s e-POWER technology is substantial, roughly 20% better than that of the gas-only Rogue. Mileage is estimated at 40-41 MPG in the city, and 37-38 on the highway.
  • Finally, the most striking difference is the experience of driving this Rogue e-POWER hybrid. One of the first things you’ll notice when you get behind the wheel is the lack of a shifter. Instead, you’ll find a P-R-N-D button selector on the instrument panel. Once you put your Rogue in gear, you’ll be using only the accelerator to speed up, to slow down, and to stop.

2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER Standard Features

  • The SV, SR, and Platinum e-POWER all have the e-POWER Powertrain and AWD. That powertrain consists of a dual-motor system that provides a combined 225 hp, using Nissan’s All-Wheel Drive, which has an electric motor on each axle.
  • A special feature is the e-Pedal with Smooth Stop, wherein you only use the accelerator, whether you want to speed up, slow down, or stop altogether. This provides a smooth acceleration/deceleration and stop, while allowing the regenerative braking to help keep the battery charged.
  • All three are supported with the ProPILOT Assist Safety Suite, which provides lane-centering and adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning/intervention, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and driver attention monitor.
  • There are dual 12.3-inch digital displays – one which provides visibility of the instrument cluster and the other which is dedicated to the infotainment system’s touchscreen.
  • Each also features Nissan’s Cold Weather Package, with heated front seats, steering wheel, and side mirrors, as well as a de-icing system on the front windshield wiper.
  • Finally, a panoramic Moonroof is standard on all three, as well as Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 15-watt magnetic wireless charger.

Optional Features Abound!

Both the SR with the SR Technology Package and the top-of-the-line Platinum offer a number of exclusive optional features:

  • Advanced ProPILOT Assist with Hands-off Traffic Jam Support (allowing hands-off driving in highway gridlock situations below 50 km/hr) as well as Auto Lane-Change, which while optional on the SR, is standard on the Platinum.
  • The dual 12.3-inch displays can be upgraded to 14.3-inch for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
  • You can also opt for the 3D Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor, which not only allows the driver to see a 360-degree view around the vehicle, but also provides a “transparent” through-the-floor view to assist in intricate maneuvering.
  • Rear Automatic Emergency Braking (Rear AEB) is also available.
  • On the Platinum trim, a Heads-Up Display (HUD) projects critical driving information directly onto the windshield.
  • On the Platinum version, ventilated Front and Rear Seats can be added.
  • Bose Premium Audio provides a 10-speaker sound system that is exclusive to the upper tier trims.

What are the Costs?

Nissan has recently published the MSRPs for the 2027 Rogue e-POWER line, and they are very competitive.

  • The SV starts at $35,490, increasing to $37,590 with the Premium Package.
  • The SR starts at $37,490, going up to $42,490 when adding the Technology Package.
  • The Platinum trim will start at $43,490.

The first release will be the SR with the Technology Package, which will be available in late fall of 2026. Other trims will be released in early 2027.

Regardless of which trim best satisfies your tastes, you should reach out to your 2027 Nissan Rogue St. Louis dealer now, to have them contact you as soon your desired model hits their lot. They’ll sell like hotcakes, so don’t miss your opportunity!
